Welcome to our website!
Geoliteka is a project that aims to promote the language and literature of Georgia (country).
Georgian writers and poets have rarely been brought to the attention of the global reader. Georgian language, being among the most ancient (the III century B.C.) languages with its unique alphabet and one of the richest literature worldwide, deserves more attention of the global audience and a unique place in International book market.
Therefore our goal is to make these gems more widely available by promoting Georgian manuscripts displaying the highest level of excellence and literary merit. We hope to achieve our goal by seeking out and collecting already translated works of Georgian writers and poets as well as translating and publishing them where possible and accumulating them on our website. Therefore, our website serves as an online library/ platform for the translated literary works of Georgian writers and poets as well as provide a guide for the interested readers for available free online resources on Georgian literature. On our website you may find detailed information about both published and unpublished manuscripts.
Whether your visit with us is exploratory in nature or you are seeking a specific work, thank you for visiting us and we hope you enjoy it! read more...
